The light weight Lithium Ion Batteries allow the XM-4000LI to beat the other scooters out there that are equipped with Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries. SLA batteries generally last for 200-300 charge cycles and are large liquid filled batteries, like what is in your car. Lithium Ion Batteries are a fraction of the weight of the SLA batteries, and they put out more power, for longer, and they take half the time to charge.
