Vectrix Electrics is definitely dominating the electric motorcycle market with their VX-1 model. I usually ride the products before I review them, however, these are not as easily obtainable for this purpose. The Vectrix VX-1 is not a toy, and requires a state M1 license and registration. Vectrix is producing a very high quality product and the VX-1 will rocket the pilot from 0-50mph in 6.8 seconds, and max out at a whopping 62 mph! The Vectrix VX-1 can be charged pretty much anywhere and some owners have reported carrying an extension cord in the under seat storage compartment for easier charging access.......

One really cool feature that the Vectrix VX-1 has is regenerative braking, which, uses the motor to resist the forward motion by reversing the drive momentum backwards. Regenerative braking allows the user to slow the vehicle using the motor, while charging the battery, as it acts as a conductor when used. TheVectrix has limited technical specifications available from what I could dig up, but the reviews across the board are very positive and enthusiastic. There are many ways to reduce your dependency on foreign oil, and I think this is the most advanced electric motorcycle that I have seen so far. I would like to ride one to really review the handling characteristics and accelleration.
