The X-Treme XB-310Li Folding Electric Bicycle is a portable, and convenient way to get around town. The XB-310Li arrived,  and was ready to go as soon as I finished chargeing the batteries . I really love the foldability of this Electric Bike, and can not wait to take it on a train or a bus, because peoples reactions would be fun to watch. The cool thing about the X-treme XB-310Li, is that it did not require the purchase a seperate wheel kit or bicycle, as the whole bike is shipped, ready to ride. The XB-310Li is a great deal too, because it includes Lithium Ion batteries, which are lightweight, hold a charge better/longer than S.L.A. batteries, and last for 7 times more charge cycles, as opposed to Sealed Lead Acid batteries. I used this folding electric bicycle for a few long commutes, but I used the pedals to get up hills, and to get the bike moving off the line. I increased the range greatly by
pedaling, and I got a workout at the same time. The XB-310Li rides great! It handles like a regular bicycle, and the brakes and suspension are very good too. I stopped on a dime, and I also rode over some larger bumps without any issues. The gearing on the XB-310Li is great for on or off road, and provides a wide range of gears for climbing, or city commuting. The rider positioning of the XB-310Li is comfortable for many riding styles and didn't bother me or anyone that I let try the bike. I really liked the suspension fork for everyday riding. I noticed that the suspension made riding easier on my upper body, arms, and wrists. The brushless hub motor is in the center of the wheel and takes up no extra space on the bike, so you can barely tell that the bike is electric powered. The X-treme XB-310Li is easily foldable too, so you can take the bike inside with you, or easily fit it into a car trunk.  Good, solid, affordable, foldable, and fun is the theme of the X-Treme XB-310Li, and I am glad I got to review it.

0 #1 AC 2010-07-04 17:30 Thanks for this great review. Do you think the folding mechanism/joint handles stress? This is one of my only worries about the bike is the point where the henge separates from the bike. Nevertheless, I just bought it and it's on it's way. Your input is greatly appreciated Quote
