The X-Treme XB-300Li is a versatile, and convenient way to get around town. The XB-300Li arrived, pretty much, fully assembled and was ready to go as soon as the batteries charged. I have ridden other electric bicycles, but this one did not require the purchase of a seperate wheel kit or bicycle. The whole XB-300Li is a great deal too because it includes Lithium Ion batteries! Lithium Ion batteries are lightweight, hold a charge better/longer, and last for 7 times more charge cycles as opposed to Sealed Lead Acid batteries. I used this electric bicycle for longer commutes, but I used the pedals to get up hills, and to get the bike moving off the line. I increased the range greatly by pedaling, and I got a workout at the same time. The XB-300Li rides great! It handles like a regular bicycle, and the brakes and suspension are very good too. I stopped in an instant, and I also rode off of some curbs without any issues. The gearing on the XB-300Li is great for on or off road, and provides a wide range of gears for climbing, or city commuting. The rider positioning that the XB-300Li has is comfortable for many riding styles and never seemed to bother me or anyone that I let try the bike. I really liked the suspension fork for everyday riding. I noticed that the suspension made riding easier on my upper body, arms, and wrists. The brushless hub motor is in the center of the wheel and takes up no extra space on the bike, so you can barely tell that the bike is electric powered. Good, solid, affordable, and fun is the theme of the X-Treme XB-300Li and I am glad I got to ride it. Pros: -Lithium Ion Batteries are VERY efficient -7 speed Shimano gearing -Brushless hub motor -Aluminum frame and wheels -Includes a toolkit -Front suspension fork -Battery indicator -Horn and bell are included -Pedal power makes range unlimited -20 mph top speed -20-25 mile range on a single charge -Headlight included -Front disk brakes -Smart charger included (stops charging when the batteries are full) Cons: -First ride was cut short due to partial charge of the batteries -I didn't get to keep it -Tires are more fit for off road |
