X-Treme X-360 electric scooter picture

In 2009, the X-treme X-360 electric scooter is equipped with 3, 12 volt batteries, 350 watts, and 30 amps for an improvement in range and power over it's predecessor. For under $400 you get an option packed, lightweight scooter that includes many features that other scooters do not include. The extra features of the X-360 really make riding more enjoyable and much safer. I really enjoyed using the signals and lights, as the last scooter that I reviewed had none of this. The storage bin came in handy on a trip to the store. I was able to fit all of the small items in the trunk and still had room for a 32oz. water bottle. The acceleration is not tire spinning, but once at speed the X-360 cruises seamlessly. The styling of the X-360 electric scooter is modern and attracted attention wherever I stopped. The suspension is not too helpful but definitely makes the ride much smoother than scooters without suspension. This scooter is just not made for tricks or rough riding.

The pros:
-Convenient
-Light weight
-Storage trunk with key
-Lights and signals
-Good range
-Easy assembly and good packaging improvement
-Abundant replacement parts and tech service

The cons:
-Not super fast
-I tightened EVERY bolt on the scooter, because of Chinese fit and finish
-Scooter requires maintenance and upkeep, but it is easy and fun

0 #11 Kenny 2012-03-26 22:31 Oops, sorry about that last post. I was under the impression that the x360 had pedals. Since then, I found out it doesn't, which makes that cop even more wrong. When a two wheeled electric vehicle doesn't have pedals and it can't go the legal minimum speed for licensed motor vehicles of 30 MPH up a 3% grade(let alone on level ground), it's not a bicycle or a moped by law, and it can't be licensed. The x-360 would be in a tricky gray area, but technically, the law regarding "scooters"(skateboard-like vehicles with handlebars and a seat) may apply. See Iowa code chapter 321, and your local ordinances for help on this. You stand a good chance as long as you obey the laws that apply to "scooters" which are usually different than laws that apply to bikes, pedestrians and motor vehicles. You can't license them, and some cities don't even allow them, but if your local laws permit it, you might be able to ride one. As an alternative, you can visit my site, kennysyardsale.weebly.com, where I have a lot of cool stuff, including completely legal vehicles for sale. On my site, you can buy things that you can't really find anywhere else, and you won't be disappointed in my selection Quote

i think its stupid cuz i live in iowa an they say i need a license to drive it

I live in Iowa, too, and I think you got fed a load of bad info. Read up on Iowa and federal law, and you'll find out exactly what I did. As long as your bike has pedals, two or three wheels, a motor or no motor, it's a legal bicycle. If you do have a motor on it, the motor by itself cannot take you over 20 MPH or have an output greater than 750 watts. One more thing, and law schools everywhere teach this, don't trust cops. In the town I live in, the chief of police has a history of beating his wife and snorting cocaine. People around here even have pictures! He hasn't lost his job, and neither will the cop that lied to you. I hope this helps.

0 #8 Jessica 2011-08-18 13:05 I really REALLY am hoping to get one for my birthday next week. I love how it is almost like a moped(lights, blinkers, horn etc.) but you dont need a license to drive it! I watched some reviews and it looks like the body of it is plastic!!! That must be why it is so cheap for a good scooter! but that is my only con about this scooter! Hopefully i will be able to get one for my birthday!!! Quote

0 #5 Jim 2010-10-11 18:44 the electric bike is better so you don't get h[censored]eled. It's a bike and looks like an ordinary bike. As long as it has peddles the federal laws says it's a bike if it's 20 mph or less. As you peddle they don't even notive or look twice. Quote

+5 #2 girlinpinkballetshoes 2010-07-24 00:02 i love this scooter!!!
it isnt the most well made, but is great for getting to school and town and to dates when you are too young for a driver's license! i love mine!! it has all the things you would expect in a real scooter(key start, headlights, blinkers, brakelights, horn, speed gauge, and even more!)but is smaller and you dont need a license to drive it!!

i love riding mine to dates, babysitting jobs, movies, town, and especially school.

it goes far, has a good speed, and i love it!!!

i would highly reccommend this scooter (not good for off road though)
