The X-treme XB-562 is a fully loaded, and conventional Electric Bike that gets you where you are going. X-treme scooters are produced in China, but they stand alone in quality, compared to any other Chinese scooter manufacturers that I have reviewed. X-treme scooters are the most copied Chinese electric scooters out there too, so make sure you are not purchasing a cheap copy. When the XB-562 arrived I was impressed with it's weight. Compared to some of the other E-bikes that I have ridden, the XB-562 is much lighter making it more agile. The bike arrived on a pallet via freight, instead of a ground carrier like FedEx, or UPS, so the bike was pretty much fully assembled and only needed a little bit of work to attach some of the more fragile components. I then rode the XB-562 for the first time and was very impressed with it's handling. The weight of the XB-562 was far less than comparable scooters, so it managed to climb hills better, acheive top speeds quicker, and turn much more easily than the others. X-treme fitted the XB-562 with a powerful 500 watt motor, that is capable of of putting out 600 watts. I enjoyed the XB-562, and the comfort factor of this Electric Bike really makes it one of my favorites that I have reviewed. The rear trunk assembly is great for bringing along extras, and going shopping for little things. The XB-562 was really fun to ride up to the convenience store and park it right on the sidewalk in front of the store. Almost everywhere I went, people would ask me about it. I could not go anywhere without getting a lot of attention. The lights, and signals really make this electric bike stand out from the rest of the products in this category, because the XB-562 comes with all the extras you could possibly think of, but they are standard equipment. I would recommend the X-treme XB-562 electric bicycle to anyone from ages 10-50. It is very easy to use, and fun too.Pros: -15-20 miles on a single charge -Rear cargo storage box for transporting small goods -No lisence or registration required, as this is considered a "bicycle" -Front/Rear turn signals -Strong headlight -Light and agile -Not uncontrollable fast -13" chrome mag wheels -Strong ABS plasticG floor panel -guage cluster Cons: -Only one rider can ride this E-bike -The foldability is not really useful -Fragile storage bin (just be careful with it) If you are interested in purchasing the X-treme XB-562 Electric Bike, check out this online X-treme Scooter retailer for fast service. |

The top speed is between 17-21 MPH. You're right, Miss…come to think of it, it IS a rather ugly scooter! Perhaps I'd be better off riding an e-bike that looks like a REAL bicycle, and NOT like a scooter!
Just one "gripe" about this review. You said you would recommend the XB-562 to "ages 10-50". Here in FL, where I live, one must be 16 years old or older to ride an electric bike. And who says the fun has to end at 50?! I'm 47, and would like to keep riding this thing well into my 70's (knock on wood)! I say you're NEVER "too old to ride" a bike such as this, and I bet that there are some motorcyclists who are STILL riding well past age 80! My point is, life is just too short, and EVERYONE deserves a LITTLE fun in their lives! Especially if it's on two wheels, on such a WONDERFUL machine…AS THE XB-562!
