The Crystalyte Phoenix Brute Electric Bike Kit is the most powerful motorized bike I have ever ridden, aside from a full track 750cc sport bike, but this kit is unbelievable.Crystalyte’s Phoenix Brute Electric Bike Kit is just the wheel, batteries, battery mounts, controller, and throttle. There are different types of kits to suit your wants and needs, so I chose the wheel for my favorite bicycle that I ride regularly. I have a fixed gear single speed track bike, so I had the kit built with a 700c wheel, and I opted for Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). I had to grind the dropouts to accept the Phoenix Brutes larger axle, but it is necessary as this motor puts out some serious torque. I had to add brakes to my bike, since I would be cruising at faster speeds than I can pedal, so once the bicycle I chose was all built up with the kit I took it for a “test ride”. My first voyage on the Crystalyte Phoenix Brute turned into an epic journey. I took a different approach to this style of electric personal vehicle by pedaling for most of the time. I used the throttle only when I was up to speed by pedaling, and when I was going up a steep hill. The Brute is aptly named, as it is capable of rocketing me up the steepest hill I could find in my area. I rode roughly 55 miles all around town and through multiple cities, and everywhere I stopped a HUGE crowd would gather around with comments and questions. I had no issues with the smooth operation of this kit. There were multiple times that my wheel broke loose, which, would be a problem for some, but I felt like I was burning out! It was in control though. The Pros: The Cons: More Info / Buy: Crystalyte Phoenix Brute Electric Bike Kit
