QUESTION & ANSWER
Question: I have a stealth 1000 I think the batterys are shot they are bulged also, the brush controller makes a clicking sound is that normal?
Answer: Swollen batteries need to be replaced. Sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries are only capable of 200-300 charge cycles. One charge cycle means that they will fully charge and fully discharge one time. If you have not charged your batteries for over a month, then they tend to loose their charge holding ability. The clicking that you are hearing could be a safety mechanism that prevents the motor from getting a weak charge. Too much or too little of a charge could damage the motor.
If you need batteries, just pull your batteries out (very carefully, as swollen batteries can explode) and find out the volts, amp hours, and sizing dimensions of your batteries and order them accordingly. Remember how they were wired as there usually multiple batteries "in-line" to form one large battery. If you need batteries, you can check out this Online Electric Scooter Parts Store with "Find a Repair Shop" Feature, and Batteries of all shapes, sizes, and capacities.
