Are Currie Electric Scooters legal to use in the state of California?

Answer: Dear Adam K
Electric scooters are legal in California provided the driver is over 16 years of age and is wearing a helmet. This is a general low for the state, but actual towns and communities could have local regulations that you should look into.

0 #1 Lily 2009-10-19 22:12 Actually I wanted a electric scooter and checked the law for CA and it says for people under age of 16, they can be no faster than 20 MPH. If you have a permit, it doesn't matter how fast but you have to have a helmet. Quote
